You guys remember how I've been keeping all sorts of good news stashed for a while? Well, I can finally announce this golden tidbit that's been tickling my brain for months! David Thomas Moore is putting the band back together! Well, some of it. Remember the alternate-universe Sherlock Holmes anthology I was part of last year, TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE BAKER STREETS? Abaddon books announced today that there will be three novellas following up on their short stories. And one of them is my work, "The Case of the Tattooed Bride". Other novellas include "A Study In Starlets" by Gini Koch, and an as yet untitled piece by Glen Mehn returning you to his drug-soaked 1960s setting.
The fun begins with my story "The Case of the Tattooed Bride" arriving in ebook form on June 23. (Always did love a June wedding.) Gini's ebook drops 2 months later with Glen's coming out in late October. Early 2016 will see a print compilation of all three works.
I'm very excited to have the chance to take you all back to the Depression era circus of Sanford "Crash" Haus and Jim "Dandy" Walker. "The Case of the Tattooed Bride" picks up a few months after the events of "A Scandal in Hobohemia" with the Soggiorno Brothers' Traveling Wonder Show making its winter camp in Peru, Indiana. The cast and roustabouts were hoping for a long winter's nap, but a fate--and a certain Professor--have different ideas.
I'm quite proud of this story and can't wait for you to read it.
DON'T FORGET: Phoenix Comic Con kicks off a week from today and you can find my schedule here. (Note: In addition to the panels and signings listed, I'll be hanging out at the Drinks With Authors even Saturday from 6-9pm.)
EDIT: Unfortunately, this novella is delayed. It will be released July 16.
